Also, there is no letter prefix before the serial number. Just can't put it all together.New to the forum and to shotguns, so I have been learning a lot lately! Have a friend selling a Wingmaster and we started doing some research on when it was manufactured.īarrel stamp is E MM and it has the receiver serial number (which matches) stamped on the barrel as well, which tells me it’s definitely an older gun. I found somewhere online this puts it at a 82-89 manufacture. This would make it more like a 2009.Serial number starts with a W. The guy at remington says they didn't use plastic mag plugs in the 80's. This puts it 1986 or post but it could just be the barrel. The plastic mag tube plug throws it off too. I am pretty sure its not a 53 just because of the condition and the other features. The fact that it says magnum on the receiver makes me think its an older one since they needed to differentiate the magnum from the standard back then. Anyone have any clues based on these facts? Thanks for the help!
